Speculations are rife that Kapil Sharma and team have inked a deal with TV channel Sony for their brand new comedy show. And if whispers are to believed then the new show would be named Comedy Style.
Actor Sunil Grover, who played Gutthi in Comedy Nights with Kapil, had tweeted saying, 'I want to wear make-up soon. See you soon. Before monsoon.'
However, Preeti Simoes, creative director of the erstwhile Comedy Nights with Kapil, denied the speculations. "Right now we have no plan as such. We are in conversation with both networks Star and Sony and we are contemplating which one would be better for the comedy space. Star is a strong channel but doesn't have a good track record for comedy. We are keen on Sony but we are in no hurry. We will know only by mid-March," said Preeti.
When asked if Comedy Style is the name of Kapil's new show, Preeti denied the same and said, "No. Not at all. We are yet to decide on the name. We have not even decided on the name. Nothing has been fixed yet."
Comedy Nights With Kapil went off air in January this year.
